The WINCO air cooled PSS8 is an entry level generator with several unique features. When purchasing a WINCO generator the customer will not have to sacrifice quality or reliability. By using better materials we are able to deliver a superior product. The PSS8 has a 480c.c. Briggs and Stratton commercial grade Vanguard engine. Your customers will be able to rely on this engine’s performance for years to come whenever there is an emergency. Our housing and cooling systems are also uniquely designed to minimize the size of the generator, improve internal air circulation, and protect the generator from the elements.
Air circulates through our air cooled PSS units. The biggest benefit is that both the engine and generator end have separate sources of fresh air. We do not cool the generator system with air that has previously been circulated to cool another component. The engine fresh air intakes are positioned on both sides of the housing and an electric fan pulls air into the housing and forces it past the engine. On the opposite side of the unit the generator fan introduces fresh air. The two fans mix the hot air and pressurize the engine compartment forcing total air circulation and preventing the formation of hot spots. The air is discharged through the base of the unit away from all three fresh air intakes.




































The PSS8’s housing is constructed of sturdy galvaneel steel. All openings are designed to prevent rodents from entering the housing and damaging internal components. Both access doors include identically keyed locks that prevent unwanted access to the generator set. We recommend that our unit be mounted on a concrete slab to provide a solid foundation and decrease the possibility of movement during inclement conditions.



With a length of 30.5 inches and a width of 27.3 inches, the PSS8 has the smallest footprint of any standby generator in its class. The unit is also a mere 27.4 inches tall providing standby power in the most compact package available in that class. When installed next to a home the generator blends in and at 68 DBA the neighbors won’t notice when it is running. The PSS8 is the easy choice for home standby applications.
